Because, of course, if the cereal is in the fridge...where do you think the milk was?

You guessed it. In the cabinet. Since breakfast time.

Does this sort of thing happen to everyone? Can you use the "new-mom" excuse the third time around?

Isn't she lovely?

8 lbs, 5 oz. 21 1/2 inches long, and cute as a button! Although it's not evident in this sleepy picture, she does have her eyes open more and more - and consequently my eyelids are feeling pretty heavy right about now!

It's a girl!

We welcomed a new baby into our family yesterday! Our little girl was born at 1:00 a.m. exactly on January 19th, weighing 8 lbs, 5 oz. She is 21 1/2 inches long, with beautiful fuzzy light brown hair. She is gorgeous and healthy, and big brother and sister were delighted to meet her. I'm looking forward to sharing more details and photos soon!

Belly at 40 weeks!

I can't wait for a wordless Wednesday....it may be a baby and not a belly by then! So, here's my belly pic - at 40 weeks, with big brother!

Two births this week!

I'll be celebrating twice this week. Sometime (very) soon, baby #3 will be joining our family. I'm due tomorrow. I wasn't sure I'd make it this long, but my babies do seem to make their appearances right on schedule. We've nicknamed this bump tiebreaker, since there are already a big brother and a big sister waiting to meet him/her.

The "birth" of my blog is a way to join the conversation of the many mom-bloggers whose writing and sharing I enjoy and admire out there, and something fun to share and enjoy during my upcoming maternity leave. The plan was to start writing after baby's arrival, but why wait? I've done enough waiting through false-starts this week, thinking this baby was on it's way. The timing of this, a first blog post, at least I can control!
